Yoga in the mountains

Inge and I were hiking in the Alps and we just happened to come across this young girl practicing yoga.

Great capture, Glenn! If it wasn't for how young she is, you could almost think that she has been a part of these mountains forever. Thank you for sharing.

fa paura, cosa c'era sotto il tronco non lo voglio sapere

I very much like the premise of such a capture ... someone doing yoga on a tree trunk with an expansive scene as a backdrop. However, the angle on the scene here limits the expanse with the lack of visual horizon. The tree limbs are extremely obtrusive and further limits that expansive feel. And, the bottom edge is cut much too abruptly ... would like for the bottom of the trunk to be within frame with some grass to buffer it from the edge. A "no" for me, but others to eventually drop by who may feel different.

Truly awesome! I love the pose, the backdrop...everything about this photo...a fave.

Beautiful scenery. The smoothness of textures and designs of the mountains in the background give a touch of serenity to the picture. The central figure confirms this feeling. But the fact that the soil does not appear in the image makes everything kind of "floating", creates a conflict in the mind of the observer, removing the quiet and stillness that is the soul of this photo. So my vote is a no, sorry

I think I can follow your intention. A nice idea showing the woman in front of this mountain landscape. I also think I understand why you added the branch as an optical breakpoint. Unfortunately in this size it takes away a lot of the attention. I'm not sure about the angle. I mean, this top down angle takes the viewer out of the composition. Perhaps there was an opportunity to have the camera on eye-level(?). Just my opinion. I am not a hundred percent convinced that's why I go for a small no. SOrry.
