Fides, Spes et Caritas, Jesus college
Stained glass in the north transept of Jesus College chapel, Cambridge. Glass by William Morris to a design by Edward Burne-Jones, depicting the personifications of Faith Hope and Charity, though very different from the standard iconography. I'm particularly interested that the figure of Faith is holding a chalice with a dragon - symbolism usually associated with John the Evangelist from the legend of the poisoned chalice which he overcame.
