blood amid the crowded nails...

Entry to PhotoFriday (Crowded) by Danny Sillada, 2005. This is the partial photo of my Installation Art Exhibit at PAG in 2003. The artwork is a plywood size (4 X 8 feet) with hundreds of nails, varying in sizes, forming a cross on the surface. It was like an on the spot performance where, on my left hand, I was holding a bucket of red paint while at my right hand, with industrial brush. In a trance-like mood, I started flailing my arms, striking the the brush and dripping the red paint on the entire surface of the plywood crowded with nails. In 30 minutes, I finished the performance but I was very exhausted. When I kept my distance to look at what I just did, I was mesmerized and felt very emotional. Although I just created it, it was as though somebody possessed me and my hairs stood from their roots. As if I was seeing a ghost through my artwork...My whole body was drained with energy and I felt dizzy looking at the red all over the surface of my art like blood...
