Tracking Transience: Altitude v2.0![]() ![]() In 2002, Hasan Elahi was apprehended by F.B.I. agents after an anonymous tipster accused him of links to terrorism. Finding himself the subject of a lengthy investigation, Elahi created an ongoing “digital alibi” for himself—a computerized system that tracks his whereabouts and other personal information—and publishes it online at www.trackingtransience.net.
