A crucial part of Provincial Reconstruction Teams, National Guard ADT's consist of citizen-Soldiers that are farmers in thier civilian lives. When deployed, they promote sustainable farming practices in Afghanistan and are an innovative way for Guardmembers to use civilian-acquired skills in forward areas.

There are currently National Guard ADT's in Missouri, Texas, Nebraska, Tennesee, Indiana, Kentucky, Oklahoma, California, South Carolina, Florida, and Iowa.
