Your title is spot on! It looks as if that's exactly what he's sayin'! Who could blame him really? That's probably exactly what I'd be sayin' too if I was in his shoes. ;)

Excellent street shot!!

There is a bit of irony to the title. I actually shot this from the hip, I wasn't even looking at him when I took it, just a quick glance for form and then looked away and snapped. A little bit of rotation, recomposition and voila. I suppose the title comes from how invasive it would have appeared to him if I had put the viewfinder up to my eye and composed etc, etc, but that's not how it happened. He was just generally eyeballing everyone intensely as they walked down the street.

Excellent capture - brave execution. Gritty and raw, it reflects as aspect of our society that is too easy to overlook - lest we forget, its a worthy portrait of a life that might well be forgotten. Very appropriate title. T

Great picture but i think that cutting it like you did, kinda destroyed or faded the atmosphere in the picture. This man excells in the streets. So dont remove the streets!! The enviroment of this man tells the background story where the main is the main object.
I hope you understand what i mean and you can use it.
I do like the picture so dont get me wrong

David, that's an interesting observation. I agree that the environment that the man inhabits is an essential part of the image but how much of it I have lost by cropping the shot is debatable. I would suggest that the small amount cropped out doesn't actually diminish the sense of place and is justified by the fact that the finished image, while losing some of its rawness, is a better shot.

The sloping lines in the bigger shot add to the dizzy impression of drunkeness - either he's swaying or the buildings are. But I like the little one too, for intensity! Maybe just the left area cropped?

And the title - I can hear him saying it!

Damn, if he'd only been saying "don't put my picture on the internet" you could have been #1 in Explore! (/jeremybrooks/2473047860/)

But look, he is using a reusable grocery bag! That is so great, even the street people in Ireland have gone green!

Not that I know he's a street person. He could be a farmer with a hangover.
