A speaker for every car!![]() ![]() I will not go into the memories I have of this drive-in theater. Nope. Not me. I am not the kiss and tell kind!
More of Jean Graham’s Wall of Welcome project in the Crestview Neighborhood. There was a nice write-up in the paper not long ago and I finally made it over there in early April on a cold, cloudy day. It's not too far from my own Allandale neighborhood. An artist is providing mosaic lessons and supplies and the Crestview residents (and others) are following her plan and some are making their own designs. It's on a brick wall about 5 feet tall. There are individual square designs along the top of the master mural. It's a work in progress and I'm going back on a sunny day. This picture has been blogged. austin but they closed and torn down.

The Chief, Burnet, and Showtown were probably the 3 drive-ins that I went to the most as a kid. I think we watched the original "Airport" movie here but not sure. Memories..... :-)
