He's a very good boy and he gets the cone off tomorrow. He isn't too freaked out by it, the look on his face is more about being told to STAY. The worst thing about the cone is when they follow you around the house and bash it into the back of your legs. Yow! Thanks for all the comments!

Sorry to say he didn't make it, cancer got him after all, but he was very, very loved and I appreciate this little tribute on Flickr all the more. Thanks, everybody!

His name was Lusty. We still have his littermate, who is also male. The funny thing is, we saw a 1940's movie trailer for some musical like "Meet Me In St. Louis" I think: and across the screen it said, "A Gay and Lusty Musical for the Whole Family". So we thought, what great dog names! Gay and Lusty! The only thing is now we have one male dog and his name is Gay. Serves us right for being such smartalecks!
