View on large please!
A long and busy Saturday was finished off by a photowalk with Vulture Labs and WideAngleJunkie. We decided we'd head east along the Thames towards the Greenwich area. We missed a great sunset because we were on the DLR, but this now means that I can crack out some night photography again.
This was a great location, as it gave a nice clear view of the Millennium/O2 Dome at North Greenwich, but was also quite secluded to give us peace. Well, apart from VL who had to give a crash course in photographer to a passing man. For about an hour.
I was quite lucky to get some nice boat trails in this shot, although, I was doing five exposures all probably above a minute, so it might have been more odd if I hadn't got any boat trails.
If you're wondering what the strange green line is, it's the laser from Greenwich Observatory. It marks the Prime Meridian, otherwise known as the international timeline, where Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) originates.
This looks much nicer in the lightbox. (Press L)
I'm off to Croatia and Slovenia in a few weeks, so any photo locations would be good. I'll be in Zagreb for a night, probably Lake Bled for a night and then Ljubljana for a night. Any hostel recommendations?
