They're made by piping chickpea-flour batter
directly into hot ghee. When they've been
deep fried, they soak in a rich sugar syrup
until lethal.
The orange colour is supposed to be saffron
- but mostly there's some assistance...

@pinky - This was with my new(ish) Sigma 30mm
1.4 - very nice indeed, and surprisingly
versatile (especially with a couple of
close-up filters and a polarising filter to
add to it where necessary).
