Let's Talk Racism: Dismantling Racism in our Schools
On Saturday, March 19, 2016, K-12 educators, pre-service teachers, and current DPS students gathered for a conference centered on the impact of systemic racism and ways of dismantling it in our schools. The conference featured a keynote address by Dr. Jessica Decuir-Gunby, Associate Professor of Educational Psychology in the Teacher Education and Learning Sciences Department at North Carolina State University, as well as a spoken word performance delivered by students from Hillside High School.
