Thalia Necklace

I am so inspired by the materials I work with, even those that are not so conventional. This necklace was inspired by the little red bicycle pendant. I love that it’s red on orange. I also love that it started life as a beer bottle cap and ended up in a very unique necklace that will adorn a special someone.

I cut the beer cap and set it in a hand-cut brass frame held together by rivets. From it hangs and old but lovely key. The necklace? Antique brass chain with bits of crystal and glass pearls selected for their colors and scattered near the bicycle charm.
