Was this sunlight through mist at the Bench?
I saw similar effects in the woods, but never
thought to look for it at somewhere as
striking as this. Good thinking.

Not sure if I prefer this one or the first
but I'm still pretty chuffed with the result.
Aye, sunlight it was! about 8am but I had
to give it some HDR treatment to bring it out
(it was a very grey/misty morning)
Thank you both for your feedback. And
thank you Treehouse for your info on the
bench!

With this one wish there was a bit more
visible above the tree, with those rays
poking upwards. I'm a fan of square aspect
ratio, would be good here. This is a
silhouette with a twist. I'm impressed with
the timing.

Square with extra height to see more of the
rays would have been better. That's why I
prefer the other one - I think this one could
have been the best of the two though if I'd
spent a few more minutes thinking about how
it would come out. . . .

Gorgeous. I try to tell people that England
is one of the most beautiful countries in the
world, but they don't listen :P
