A little fun with my new Nikon D600 and a Lumopro LP160 in a Joe McNally Lastolite Softbox.
Strobist: A single Lumopro LP160 at 1/4 power, shot through a Joe McNally Lastolite Softbox, almost directly above her, just camera right. She's holding a silver reflector (which you can see in her glasses – and might be considered a mistake). I was at ISO 200 on 1/4, f/8 and my lens was at around 38mm. It's rare I shoot at a focal length that's not 24, 50 or 70 on that lens ... granted, it's essentially the very common 35mm. I almost considered this shot a throwaway because I didn't think there would be enough separation from her and the background. And perhaps I'd add some rim lighting were I to do this again. Interesting ... but I feel ok about it considering I walked away from this idea after two snaps. Also: Triggered via Paul C Buff Cybersync.
