Ashley - Macro image of film
My photography will never be the same again. Not only was this a great shoot with an excellent model (Ashley Owings: www.modelmayhem.com/2278311), but they were photographed with my Hasselblad 500 C/M on Ilford Delta 100 film, and then photographed on a light table with a macro lens on my Nikon D600. The technique is MIND BLOWING. I may never place another negative in a scanner again. I am VERY serious. This method yields not only amazing tonal range, but ACTUAL GRAIN. Not mushy things I can tell are grain ... but REAL GRAIN.
Anyway, you can read about it here: jamiemphoto.squarespace.com/blog/2013/12/22/yes-your-dslr...
Much more to come from this shoot and t his technique!
This shot: Was lit exclusively from outdoor light as she stood in the doorway. I liked the bright backlight and sense of mystery the near-silhouette created. When all of the pieces come together, sometimes you just don't mess with them. This was Ilford Delta 100 film at 100 ISO and developed in Kodak TMAX Developer.
