A while back I mentioned that I stopped measuring times on my night shots. This was actually the shot that caused me to do it. I knew the location well having shot there many times before, and I knew what look I wanted too. I think this shot was probably about 2 minutes long in the making. I discovered previously that the lighting is tricky here, and that I really needed a wide angle to pull off what I wanted. I was thinking recently that it's kind of odd that I chose to pursue a landscape/urban based project when my main love is portraits. Odd too that the project almost demands a deep depth of field and wide lenses when my usual preference is for a short telephoto and a very wide aperture. Although things don't seem so odd anymore after listening to The Alan Parsons Project for a little while. (I finally set up my record player and am in the process of revisiting some favourite LPs....) Thanks again to Brian of course, who gave me this film. CommentsDamien Franco

Dang man! Exposure looks to be spot-on! I'd say you have a good feel for these long exposure shots, especially since you pulled off something like this with an xpro.
