Supercollider - WIP - 10
Every supercollider needs a torus around which the particles can spin. I designed this one in Rhino and then milled it out in wax sections, here in the process of being assembled for casting.
This process reminded me of Airfix kits from my childhood and I think that the techniques of creating this model probably derived a lot from my memories of those kits.
The corroded spiral section is steel from the transmission cable of a wrecked car found on Southwold beach in Suffolk some years ago.
