Impressive pile. These are all hammer struck
coins, judging by their shapes. Later, after
the screw press and collar was introduced,
the coins were more consistently round.
Nonetheless, the coins in your picture were
high grade gold and silver, accepted all over
the world at the time -- based on their
purity and accurate weight. Great shot!
