Pentax X-5
Test shots with a Pentax X-5
General conclusion: a perfectly acceptable camera provided that you don't want to take too much control. Shooting in P mode is preferable to fully automatic or fully manual. The former struggles with auto-focusing, the latter is too cumbersome to make adjustments effectively.
Auto-focus is unpredicatable, especially in low-light. Auto white balance is too yellow. Noise levels are acceptable. Filters are fun and relatively simple to apply. The electronic viewfinder is unpleasant to use.
Relatively inexpensive, however, and plenty of camera for the money.
