This gate has always amused me; it fails abysmally to block the footpath between Barton and Chowder Ness, although I suppose it 'might' just about stop a four-wheeled motor vehicle from traversing the pathway. I love the chain and padlock, and wonder what happened to the post they would have been secured on.
