I got caught in the rain today. It was awesome! Call me crazy, but I love walking in the rain! Today I couldn’t enjoy it much because I had my camera with me so I was worried about it because it was raining a lot. So instead of walking home slowly and without an umbrella as I would have liked to do, I had to walk fast and make good use of my umbrella to protect my camera. In the picture is the view from my bedroom window when I got home. My jeans and my tennis shoes were completely soaked, but I don’t really mind it, I had fun!

The heat and the rain have caused an infestation of small mosquitos (I have no idea of the proper name for them…) to invade the apartment. They are really bothersome and the solution we found is the citronella candle that keeps them away.

As it is the second day of the year I thought it was about time I started making a list of the books I want to read this year. In the picture are the books that are on the list and that I already have. The rest of the books I want to read I’ll have to borrow from the library or buy it, in case the library doesn’t have a copy (believe me, it happens more times than I would wish). I decided to join the 365 Project this year (Shouldn’t it be 366 Project this year?). I’m not sure I’ll remember to take at least one picture every single day of the year, but I’ll try. For the first day of the year of 2012, what better than a picture of my unmade bed, meaning that I woke up at 1 p.m. and didn’t have it in me to make my bed since I knew I was going back to it pretty soon?

Happy 2012 everyone, I hope this year is better than the last and worse than the next!
