      Installation 'Cloud Chamber' 2004

Installation proposal: media, stuffing from old pillows, sound, flightless birds such as quail (not shown)

      Dimensions variable

Description: The sky brought inside. Fluffy clouds made from the stuffing of old pillows are suspended from the ceiling. Flightless birds such walk around the floor, unable to fly among them as we head-in-the-cloud humans can. From time to time Charles Trenet sings 'Il Pleut dans ma chambre' from what seems to be a distant place.

    25. piglicker (49 months ago | reply)

@joeljackson - it was an installation that was part of the glasgow radiance festival

samantha clark took the stuffing from old pillows, formed cloud shapes and suspended them in the room using fishing wire.

i just wandered past and grabbed a snapshot...

Unless the person made the installation themself, why should they get credit for the image? Its not an amazing photo in itself- you could take a great photo of this. Whats cool is the artwork in the photo. Its like taking a straight photo of awesome graffiti and getting credit for a nice picture.

very nice..I would love to know how you made the clouds or where did you purchase them from?

    40. piglicker (15 months ago | reply)

      hi kassim,

if you follow the links just under the pic, you'll see that this was an art installation in glasgow, by samantha clark.

i'm not sure what she used, but it looked like cotton wool to me :)
