Desperate as in good? If so then yes. I've waited 13 years to see G n R and was expecting to be dissapointed. I wasn't. They rocked, and Axl was magnificent.

Apparently there were some problems earlier in the tour - but they did a great 2 hour set and nailed every song, despite some technical problems!

Desperate as in desperately bad. They played Dublin a few weeks ago, and were slated...must have been through the problem phase.

I didn't go to see the Chilli Peppers for the same reason, I have a live DVD that I havn't watched all the way through because Anthony sounds bloody awefull, however the BBC set they did at the start of the UK tour they sounded pretty good ... oh well.
