65 musket balls recovered from a single metal detector hit/shovel test! The speculation is that it might represent a lost ammo pouch. Not sure how previous surveys missed this!

I was at the Battleground today & very impressed with the modern buildings & facilities on the park grounds. It appears from where the large screw like marker lies, that the defenders were right next to the farm road that borders the park. Much of the Mexican lines were on private property across the street. Did the owner of that property give permission for an examination with metal detectors? How does one volunteer to search sites with a metal detector? Thanks for you photos, would love to see more!
