The Baylor Stadium Corporation's "The Invisible Line" (excerpt)
The Baylor Stadium Corporation published a pamphlet called "The Invisible Line." This 1949 publication gives statistics such as the ones in the above page to make the case that Baylor University needed a new football stadium at the time. In 1949, Municipal Stadium was being used by the Bears who also shared it with Waco High School. This fundraising publication makes the plea, “Baylor is a poor cousin in the Southwest Conference. Its stadium is the smallest and the poorest among the seven universities.” The details of this statement can also be seen in the page above.
