Cal vs. Stanford

Despite a heroic effort by pitcher Yount and others, Stanford lost against archrival Cal in 10 innings on Friday night at Stanford.

I think the pitcher's face and the framing of the umpire are my favorite parts of this photo.

I was shooting behind home plate through the netting, which is usually invisible. However, in this photo you can see the netting in the bokeh.

Though not perfect, the photo is surprisingly sharp considering that I used a teleconverter, shot at ISO3200, and accidentally selected a slow shutter speed.
