Beautiful photo Maite. Pitty that the cars are there, which are in fact not allowed to park there.
@ iMan, its a photo taken at de Haverwerf (Oats wharf) in Mechelen, Belgium (flemish speaking part = Flanders where we speak Dutch).
Riverside wharf where oats were shipped and traded from the 14th century onwards.Three stunning traders’ houses reflect the time when Mechelen raised taxes on the salt, oats and fish that was transported along the Dyle. The central building “De Duiveltjes” (The Little Devils) is a rare survivor of 16th century wood-fronted architecture. On the left is the “St. Joseph” house (17th century), on the right “Het Paradijske” (‘The Little Eden’, 16th century) with carvings depicting the Expulsion of Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden.
