i remember getting lost in this park after watching man city snag a rare away win a couple of years ago. it was in the middle of a massive blizzard, and me and my mate ended up staggering into the north terrace pub looking like snowmen. everyone laughed!

this shot brings it all back...

I will have been at that game too (in the home end, but supporting City, trying not to draw too much attention.) I remember it being bloody freezing, but that could really be any match in St James', especially if you're sitting towards the back where the air gets thin!

i was sat near to the back of one of the giant tiers and couldn't tell the difference between shaun goater and shaun wright phillips! until play started that is, goater's silky touch can be distinguished from miles around

how come you were supporting the blues anyway? are you an exile?

Yes - my family are all Blues too. Apart from my Dad, who's a Liverpool fan, for no particular reason (glory hunting probably - at least he didn't go over to the dark side.)
