M is for metro

Not a great photo, but I like the way the line of the windows blurs through the doors, and...
...the way the logo is sharp, and...
...the way it looks wam and blurred inside, and cold and crisp outside, and...
I do not like this sign and other glaring clutter, but forgot to change that before uploading. Oh well.
...the fact that you can just make out the headlight, which appears to be midway through one car, and...
...the fact that the station appears to be completely empty, but the train looks pretty full.
There actually are people in the station.

Subway in Washington, D.C. It was a fun visit -- the city, not just this subway station!

Thanks! Action was tricky with the Sony MVC-CD500. There's quite a delay... pushing shutter release... nothing happening... then finally, click. I was really happy with this one.

Thanks, you all are too kind! I posted it because I too liked the motion in the shot, then thought, eh, it's not that good. I'm spoiled by my D70!

This is a really awesome shot. It was def. one of the top entries in the contest... but since you're a pro now, it makes my job a little easier. Totally beautiful. I'd love if you'd put this in Depth Perception! :)

(ps. both my son and husband were looking at the photos in the contest thread at different times, and they both were enthralled with your photo as well. So you're a hit all-around! :)
