Back in the 1940's I watched movies in which Hollywood stars got on Clippers like this, and flew off to China, Rio, and Hawaii. I dreamed of someday doing that, but all of my airline trips have been on planes that landed on land.

I wonder if that bridge is still there. I haven't been to San Francisco lately.
