Why did it take me so long to finally watch it? Who knows. It became a "thing" after so many years. I had never seen The Godfather. Actually watching it seemed to be a break from the status quo. At least, the cherry is popped.
And I certainly liked the popping. Well-deserved acclaim, and it still holds up extremely well even after forty years.
