Felt good to be back in the photo pit (okay, so there wasn't one at this show, but it's the idea, here.) I got to shoot photos for a local online publication at the Chicago Bluegrass and Blues Festival...A full set will follow once they've published their piece tomorrow, but I couldn't help but pick my favorite shots from the night and get them up here a little early. Here my favorite outtake for the week, a shot of Del McCoury--the leader of the Del McCoury Band, and one of the most renowned bluegrass musicians anywhere. If you get the chance, see this guy perform. You won't regret it.

Week 3: "Black & White"

Week 2: "Old"

This sign is the often-photographed old neon still standing on the former site of "Z" Frank Chevrolet on Western Avenue in Chicago. The letters spelling "CHEVROLET" down the blue tower are long gone, but this remains, hopefully long into the future, leaving a bit of our history intact for a while longer...

What can I say, not being the 'committment because of a holiday' type, my mind immediately went to digital pixels for this week's topic.
