Temple Visit

Temple Visit by theothegrey.
Our staff team visited a Buddhist temple this week. We had an interesting conversation with a nun about prayer, cause and effect, and a bit of her personal journey.

We had a great time... or at least I did. We were supposed to get a volunteer that day, but because the volunteer was ill, the nun came out to give us the full tour. She was a nurse for 20 years but felt frustrated that her care was so temporal. After the tour we sat down with her in the main hall. They use pews interestingly, because they want to appeal to westerners. We asked questions and she gave some insightful answers.

As for the pics, I just asked her if it was okay to take photographs. She gave me full permission to take whatever I wanted. It took awhile for her to warm up to us, but by the end she suggested we all take a group photo.
