Blitz, chess tables, Dupont Circle

I don't really see much to be done here, but I am a novice, so maybe I am missing something. One could argue it was a blitz game and there is not too much of a plan anyway, but this was the prodigy so I doubt it.

Yea, this is speed chess. Each opponent has 5 minutes total for the game. You can win one of two ways. By either checkmating the opponent, or having the opponents time run out.

It's a lot of fun. But I wouldn't say it teaches good habits.

I have heard that, yes, but it has helped me to play speed and "normal" games, to get into the habit of making moves and to learn to see what's going on more quickly.

It's a more intuitive game, which is great.. but eventually you'll need to have the time to sit and think about why you want to move that pawn, and not just move it.... :)

I've won a few tie breakers back in my chess days through speed chess, because i'm able to not care about position as much as making it uncomfortable for the other person....

It teaches attack, attack and more attack.... in speed chess, if you sit back and try to defend too much, you'll get creamed.

it's fun, and has it's benefits... but I still prefer a nice leisurely game.
