Panasonic 7-14mm Test: Purple Bell 1
These two shots show that you can get some bokeh at close focus at full zoom -- which is a whopping 28mm equivalent. The bokeh isn't awful which is good because on some ultrawide lenses it can be.
I recently obtained a pricy Panasonic 7-14mm lens (14-28mm equivalent) to replace my Olympus 9-18mm which I sold along with a couple of other lenses to pay for the Panasonic. I took it to Longwood Gardens to mess around with it today and it's definitely a keeper.
These aren't necessarily any attempt at serious art -- I'm just trying out the lens. Still, I like a few of these. The Panasonic lens handles background flare at lease as well as my Olympus 9-18mm did, and I believe it's a bit sharper.
Taken with a Panasonic G5 (DMC-G5) and Panasonic 7-14mm f/4 ultrawide lens.
