ReconstructMe with Glasses - Before and After

    Newer Older

After I saw MagWeb's simple hack, I had to try it: reconstructme.net/2012/03/18/gallery-update-2/

    Holy crap it works: www.flickr.com/photos/tbuser/7013251283/in/photostream

It's a little buggy and hard to get a complete scan. Also needs some more work calibrating it as it's slightly distorted, however initial impressions - awesome improvement.

Watching this I wonder if it would be an improvement to use Nyko zoom lens for kinect www.nyko.com/products/product-detail/?name=Zoom , what do you think?

Nykon zoom does not work, the nykon doesn't magnify - it increases field of view like with a fish eye lens.

      Hey Tony,
I am trying to set up this hack for my kinect and was wondering where the settings you provide should be put. I browsed the ReconstructMe/cfg and econstructMe/cfg/sensor folder but the files I found there did not appear to have the same structure as yours.

By the way, did you come out with newer settings for this hack?

I am running ReconstructMeQT version 1.2.95 with the Microsoft Kinect for Windows SDK (as the PrimeSense driver did not manage to work for me).

      Thanks for your help!
