Adult Center - December 2011
Happy Holidays to all Quilt Lovers from Thumb Butte Quilters! Our wish is that this collection of Christmas quilts will bring joy to your hearts, right here in Arizona’s Christmas City!

The quilts now hanging in the Atrium of the Prescott Community Center are as follows (standing at the Reception Desk, looking South out the front door, beginning with the first small quilt in the southwest corner, and going around the room clockwise):

(small quilt location--southwest corner)

Mary Scherer, quilt maker. “Merry and Bright”. A Christmas quilt that is exactly what a Christmas quilt should be--merry and bright!

(Large Quilts on the West Wall):

Pam Calhoon, quilt maker. “Christmas in the Pines”. This quilt and “Irish Christmas” were originally made for twin beds, which don’t exist anymore.

Kristi McHugh, quilt maker. “Merry Christmas to Me”. This fan quilt is Kristi’s winter bed cover. Pieced by Kristi and machine quilted by Gwen McNallan.

Pam Calhoon, quilt maker. “Irish Christmas”. Don’t you just want to curl up in this quilt!

(small quilt location--northwest corner)

Jean Ehlers, quilt maker. “Christmas in July”. Christmas blocks made by Featherweights mini-group and Material Girls mini-group who met in July for a picnic “at the creek”. Jeannie won all the blocks in a random drawing!

small quilt location--northeast corner)

Susan Gates-Harms, quilt maker. “Christmas Houses”. A friendship group project where blocks were made by quilters for each other in the mini-group, “The Young and the Restless“.

(Large Quilts on the East Wall):
