For your viewing pleasure, the latest presentation of quilts has been hung by the Thumb Butte Quilters Guild.
The theme for this display is "Gone To Pieces". All of the quilts you see here have been pieced by machine.
There is no applique on any of the quilts-just lots and lots of pieces! In fact, there is a total of 16,999 pieces!!

The makers of the quilts now hanging in the atrium of the Prescott Community Center are as follows:
(standing at the Reception Desk, looking South out the front door, beginning with the first small quilt in the
southwest corner, and going around the room clockwise)

Carolyn Edwards, quilt owner, (small quilt location—southwest corner) This quilt of pieced baskets contains 682 pieces. It was made by a friend as a birthday present, and is her "Happy Birthday" Quilt.

(Large Quilts on the West wall):

Barbara Merkel, quilt maker. This quilt was made in a TBQ class taught by Carrie Nelson,
the pattern designer. "Circle of Friends" has 1,756 pieces.

Lorraine Owen, quilt maker. This quilt was also made in a TBQ class, "Mad for Plaid", taught by Lyn Mann, the pattern designer. Lorraine has named her quilt of 4,247 pieces. "Blue Geese in the Flowers".

Chris Anders, quilt maker. Again, a quilt made in a TBQ class taught by Carrie Nelson. Chris's
"Circle of Friends" also has 1,756 pieces!

Sandy McGarry, quilt maker, (small quilt location—northwest corner) This quilt is a twelve-block
star sampler, containing 555 pieces.

Susie Martin, quilt maker, (small quilt location—northeast corner) This difficult quilt, named "Almost Amish", was pieced using templates! There are 922 pieces.

Susie Martin, quilt maker. This Pineapple Quilt (a log cabin block variation) is
"foundation pieced", with 3,392 pieces.

Sandy Mitchell, quilt maker. This quilt, named "Stars to Dye For", is made of fabrics hand-dyed by
Sandy. It has 1,711 pieces.

Kathy Beeson, quilt maker. This "string quilt", named "Spider Web", has 1,359 pieces. It received the "Best Scrap Quilt" award at TBQ's quilt show, in June 2007.

Chris Anders, quilt maker, (small quilt location—southeast corner) "Four Patch Polka" has 619 pieces.
