What this is Picture Is

What this is Picture Is by 顔なし.
is not a picture of Monkey going helter-skelter pell-mell full speed hands in the air down this 15-20 foot slide. It could be but we don't always get what we wish for. Instead use your imagination and be satisfied with the fact that the mere possibility exists. I makes me happy.

Bloggo-time for those uninterested:
Tim's life is a lot of things, and lately I've been thinking about what it isn't and what it would be if I I was still in Pittsburgh right now instead of having jumped ship for Japan last year f, if I had studied abroad my junior year at Pitt instead of moving into a house and making some of the best friends and memories a boy could ask for. If I had done a Math or Philosophy or Film or any of the other millions of majors I would have loved to devote my scholarship to instead of Linguistics and Japanese. What would my life be like if I hadn't come to Pittsburgh at all, and gone off to Boston instead. What if the Mayans and the Aztecs had developed Gun Powder and Canon and the New World would have remained unconquered by the Europeans? Where would I be? Where would everybody I know now be?

I don't hold a lot of faith in subconscious psychology. I'm happy now where I am, I feel happy and I can say I'm happy. However I do put a lot of stock into my Dreams and I keep an on again off again dream journal for my personal reference, and I have to say I've been having an awful lot of dreams lately about being back in the States with my old friends and friends I never had the opportunity to make.

The way I tie it all back around is that this photo is just that, before I took this photo I had a lot of preconceived ideas about what it was going to be, but as of now it didn't turn out or isn't exactly what I thought of or had envisioned, however I still can dream. We all can dream.

holy s**t...i gotta find that slide and slide the hell out of it.

When I was a kid, there was this slide (I say "slide" but it was really just a half-pipe of concrete) at a park on coast avenue in beechview that spanned a good 50 feet. West almost straight down. At least that's how I remember it...alas it's gone now, since playgrounds cannot contain concrete death traps anymore. Kids today are such wusses...padded surfaces and all that. Bah. Scuff your knees. Bleed a little. Your playtime is that much richer for it.

There's no such thing as what might've have been. Feel free to delete this but one thing I've learned this past year is there is no going home again. It could just be me.

I agree, I refuse on principle to believe in regrets. There's no point to regrets, they're just a waste of time. Thinking about what might have been is more of a though experiment to me, philosophical playing around. There was a time I held the believe that reality was completely relative to the particular individual. I believe in being able to go home again, but I also think people have to realize that the home they`re going back to is going to be changed and different, and will never be the same. I`m generally cool with that, however sad or unfamiliar it may be at first.
