Was the S crossed out while the cement was still wet? If so, who amended it? The original author?

Seems to indicate the dice game "craps" rather than a pile of poo.

Someone hates scraps, but someone else hates craps more.

Was this maybe a cement-marking game of tic-tac-toe?

Hell yeah, 'Fuck Scraps' was written by a Norteno, a Scrapa/Scrap is an insult almost always aimed at Surenos. I'm not followiing the Endless Struggle too closely these days, but the North Mission was always Sureno turf while the 24th St blocks were Norteno.....the irony.
