When I was a little kid, a traditional family treat was having "scones", which were really frybread (with honey and butter). At some point, everyone switched to calling them frybread -- and at least once, my mom was adamant that she'd _never_ called them scones; "Scones are different," she said.
The last Street Fair at the university had a frybread vendor with this sign -- justifying my childhood by noting that they are sometimes called "scones." So I _didn't_ just come up with it at random. I still wonder why my family wants to gaslight me over frybread, though.
