Fallen Angel Statue - Retiro park, Madrid

I happened to be walking by this statue at sunset. Was the statue placed here so the sun's red glow would depict the flames of hell?

It is the Fallen Angel- Lucifer, the one that wanted to be equal to God, and God punished him by always falling, by being always in the process of falling between heaven and earth. In many beliefs he is the reproduction of Satan and this is actually the single statue dedicated to Lucifer in the entire world.
I'd say a very beautiful one.
