Karen Sisters

    The people at the Karen village were quite happy to get their photos taken. One particular pair of sisters displayed large capacity for modeling. I wondered about their lives if they were to live in a modern Thai society.

      I found out that the Long Neck Karen at Nai Soi Village are contain in that restricted area. They must have migrated from Burma, but have not yet (or will ever) be given a Thai Citizenship.
      At the second visit we chatted and observed this particualry witty girl. She was talking to some French tourists in an impressive French accent. Of course only in the basic conversation passed down from tourists who came by.
      Its a shame, since with more opportunity, better education I feel that she could really strive and contribute for the better of her (temporary?) village.
