Located in the Chilean Patagonia, 112 km north of Puerto Natales.

PS It's quite hard to locate on the flickr map mountains or parks..specially in such avast low popullated area as this one, if any one knows of an alterative to this, please share.

As this little guy started visiting our garden I immediately run to install my brand new bird feeder, yesterday he came back :))

PS as I don't have a decent lens, this has been cut from the original file to enlarge the bird.

El Parque Nacional Chiloé es un parque nacional chileno, ubicado en la costa occidental de la Isla Grande de Chiloé, en la X Región de Los Lagos. Abarca 43057 y la mayor superficie del Parque corresponde a colinas de la Cordillera de la Costa, conocida como Cordillera Piuchén.

Los ambientes protegidos son zonas de dunas, bosque valdiviano, alerzales, y turberas. La formación vegetal predominante es la selva valdiviana, un bosque denso formado por árboles siempreverdes, arbustos y plantas trepadoras. El bosque Valdiviano es considerado un bosque primario, desde donde comienza la vida en la tierra.

Chiloé National Park is a national park of Chile, located in the western coast of Chiloé Island, in Los Lagos Region (region of the lakes). It encompasses an area of 430.57 km2 (166 sq mi) and the greater portion of the Park is in the foothills of Chilean Coastal Range, known as the Cordillera del Piuchén.

It includes zones of dunes, Valdivian temperate rain forests, swamps, and peat bogs. The predominant vegetation is that of the Valdivian forest, a dense forest formed by perennial trees, shrubs and climbing plants. It is considered a primary forest, from where life in Earth started.
