My Bengal

My Bengal

West Bengal is the most green state in India. Its called the rice bawl of India. This state is endowed with vast reserve of water underneath its rich and fertile soil. Which enables it to grow a rice-based multiple cropping system. These natural endowment, along with huge rainfall during the monsoon keeps the vast country side of West Bengal always green.

In the picture we can see the rice and Jute plant in the same field.

This picture is taken during the evening time just before the sun sets. The location is a country side village 10 Km away from my home town Kalyani.

The color of the setting Sun reflects on monsoon cloud and creates a dramatic sky with a lust green foreground.

Toy Train in a Village fair

Toy Train in a Village fair

I was visiting village a fair near my home. Thousands of people were thronging around, numerous kinds of Ferris wheel , toy trains, temporary kiosks of plastic toys, utensils like spoon, cups, mug and so many other things. The picture above is one such elevated toy train, with people seating on it and having a nice painting as border in the ground level..
