We are having bad floods in Australia. On our street, we watched the waters rise on Tuesday and Wednesday and I was too nervy to draw. On Thursday, after they peaked, there was nothing to do, so I sketched. After the waters went down, there was more than enough to keep everyone busy.
These are people standing on the roundabout above the Ipswich Motorway looking at the lake which our suburb had become, and then going down to look at shipping containers floating on Blunder Road.
I've put up more about the floods on my blog: tanaudel.wordpress.com/2011/01/19/flood-diary-january-2011/
