How wonderful! You know, I'd forgotten about this cake, but I am making a few cakes for a friend's birthday next weekend, and now I think this needs to be one of them (others: Dorie's Perfect Party Cake and the Hazelnut Brown Butter Cake I made a while back).

One question: Did you feel that it was basted well enough with coffee/booze? Personally, I like my tiramisu on the soaked side, and may have liked a little more.

That's OK, I wish I knew exactly how much I used of the syrup. I would guess it was 1.5x of the recipe amount, and I thought it was enough. I was afraid that using all of the double amount would make it too hard to cut.
