Beautiful Decay

There is quite a lot of history behind this little butterfly. It's nearly a decade old by now. My sister found it (already dead) a long time ago and in remarkably good condition still, so she put him in an old cassette tape with some cotton balls and it's been that way ever since. Years later it's been all over the place and adorned quite a few shelves. I was so afraid it was going to fall off of the fence onto the other side. The fence is rather tall, wobbly and decrepit, and it wouldn't have been easy to clamber over it, not to mention getting back over when the other side is completely smooth. Needless to say I'm very glad it didn't come to that.
