Lighting info: mola dish on ranger A head on power level 5 (ranger rx as pack) camera left and then a vivitar 285 camera left with a homemade gridded snoot with plastic gutter and straws painted black :)

sf run layout

This particular project of mine comes from seeing narrow alleyways and run-down, abandoned streets throughout pockets of SF. One thing that I never got used to was running in these densely packed streets. In some way this is the playground of many runners and athletes trying to get their daily jog in or pushing that extra mile in training for their marathon. I really wanted to express the feeling of a free spirit and intensity in these photos.

Top: mola beauty dish with elinchrom ranger a head power 5 camera left in plane of subject and vivitar 285hv on 1/2 power camera right in plane of subject.

Bottom: shot with elinchrom ranger a head with reflector in balance with cross lit sun.
