True! back then the idea of putting an object in orbit was sci-fi, much less computers to provide corrections for the effects of relativity so GPS would be accurate, not to mention LEDs, and integrated circuits. All would be considered magic back then. But today master rods, and 100 weight oil by the drum, and anything that will hold 5000 gallons of 100 octane fuel is its own kind of magic.
